21–22 August 2025 | ZŠ Botič, Botičská 8, Prague 2

We warmly invite all players of Scottish bagpipes and drums to a two-day international piping seminar, taking place on 21–22 August 2025 in Prague, at the Botič Elementary School (ZŠ Botič, Botičská 8, Prague 2).

The teaching will be led by an exceptional team of instructors:

• Finlay MacDonald – Head Instructor, Director of The National Piping Centre in Glasgow, one of the world’s most prestigious piping schools
• Ailis Sutherland – Scottish bagpipes
• Alistair Hutton – Scottish bagpipes
• Mark Armstrong – Snare drum (Friday only)
• Markus Edl – Bass & Tenor drum (Friday only)

Daily schedule:

• Each day:
   10:00–13:00 – Instruction
   13:00–14:00 – Lunch break
   14:00–17:00 – Instruction

Fee:

• 500 CZK / €20 per day

The seminar is open to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players, who wish to develop their skills under the guidance of top instructors from the UK and Europe.

Participants of the seminar can subsequently take part in the piping and drumming competitions during the 25th Highland Games Sychrov (www.skotskehry.cz).
